I’ve been reading Ridiculously Happy! The Secret to Manifesting the Life & Body of Your Dreams by Carol Whitaker for the last few weeks, and it hit me at just the right time. The time when I needed it most. Carol talks quite a bit about positive self talk, and loving yourself. I was practicing that for the last few years, but I got off track this summer when we had two deaths in the family within 2 weeks. Since then I’ve been somewhat derailed in my positive thinking and in taking care of myself. I needed something to get me back on track, and this book was just the thing!
A couple years ago I was struggling with my weight and my blood pressure. I didn’t take time for myself, and I was always down on myself. I ended up in the emergency room when my blood pressure spiked really high one night, and decided to make a change. I decided I needed to love myself and take care of myself first. I’ve stuck to that for the last couple years, but this summer it changed and I’ve had a difficult time getting my mojo back. Reading this book was just the thing to help me.
Ridiculously Happy! The Secret to Manifesting the Life and Body of your Dreams helps you bring your mental, physical and spiritual self together to work toward creating a perfect life. It’s a step by step approach to changing your life. Many times our own negative self talk can undermine our lives and our chance to be happy. I’ve been going through that myself again lately. Reading this book right now has helped me pick myself up and start being kinder to myself and on myself.
Overall I really enjoyed this book and its message. It was just what I needed at just the right moment to get myself back on track with the new year and a new start on being kind and good to myself.
