  • 10 Ounces Milk
  • Whipped Cream
  • Sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice

Instructions

  • Place the creamer and white chocolate in a large microwave safe mug.
  • Stir in the vanilla add the white chocolate chips.
  • Microwave for about 30 seconds, stir until smooth.
  • Add in the milk, and microwave for 90 seconds more or until the liquid is heated through.
  • Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle or two of pumpkin pie spice.

Helpful tips for the best texture

Heat low and slow. White chocolate can scorch if it gets too hot. Gently warm the milk and whisk until everything is smooth and steamy, not boiling.

Sweeten to taste. Depending on your white chocolate, you may not need much extra sweetener. Taste before you add more.

Spice it your way. Start with your favorite pumpkin pie spice blend, then adjust. A pinch of extra cinnamon or nutmeg can make it your own.

Make it dairy free if you like. Your favorite non-dairy milk works here. Almond, oat, or coconut milk all make a creamy cup.

Easy topping ideas

Keep it simple or dress it up. Try a little whipped cream or coconut whip, a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar, a dusting of nutmeg, or a light drizzle of caramel. A tiny pinch of sea salt brings out the sweetness.

Make ahead and for a crowd

You can make a single mug in minutes, or scale it up for friends and family. Warm gently in a saucepan and keep it on the lowest heat, stirring now and then. A small slow cooker on warm also works if you want to set it out for guests with a little toppings bar. Leftovers can be cooled, covered, and refrigerated, then rewarmed slowly on the stove.
