Just because the winter season has hit, it doesn’t mean that fairies go into hiding. They still love colorful and fun places to play, where they can work their magic and visit with their friends. This winter, give one of these winter fairy garden ideas a try.
Even though you have to put your traditional fairy garden away, you can still provide the fairies in your life a winter wonderland to frolic in. Take a peek!
1. Snowman fun.
Fairies love to play in the snow and build their own snowmen. Paint a large terra cotta saucer with white or ice blue paint. Fill it with white crafting pom poms or faux snow. Add in some small foam crafting balls for the fairies to build a snowman with. Include some scrap fabric for a scarf. Finish off the scene by including a bottle brush tree, found at most craft and retail stores.
2. Winter safe haven.
In case it gets too chilly, give your fairies a safe haven. A little home or cottage is the perfect treat. Begin by painting a terra cotta saucer white or ice blue. Fill the saucer with white pom poms of faux snow. Add in a sparkly house. We used an ornament found at our local craft shop. These sparkly homes can be found at most craft and retail shops, and make the perfect safe haven for your fairies.
3. Winter wonderland.
Create a whimsical winter wonderland as you see here. Just paint the terra cotta saucer white or ice blue. Fill it with white crafting pom poms or faux snow. Add a large “snowball” made from a large crafting pom pom or foam ball. Cut two red paper straws and add a dab of glue to the ends. Press them to the saucer and finish them off with foam balls on the top. The end result is a winter wonderland any fairy would love to frolic in.
Give these winter fairy garden ideas a try! These winter fairy gardens look great perched on a table or used as a holiday centerpiece. Plus, they are just as fun for adults to craft as they are for kids.
